DESCRIPTION:On select Fridays this summer\, join the Poster House education team on guided docent tours of our current exhibitions! Gain a deeper understanding of the historical context and the design techniques behind one of the museum’s shows in an informative yet casual setting. The tours\, along with admission on Fridays\, are always free! \nThis Friday\, we will be focusing on the posters from Fallout: Atoms for War & Peace.  \nAccessibility Note: Masks and clear masks are available free of charge at the museum. Assistive listening devices and stools are available. ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation or a CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) is also available upon request. SUMMARY:Lorenzo Homar Archives Tour
DESCRIPTION:In 2022\, Poster House acquired a large collection of original posters by Lorenzo Homar from the artist’s estate. Many of these incredible images would go on to feature in Puerto Rico in Print: The Posters of Lorenzo Homar—but\, as with every exhibition\, some did not make the final cut. Join curator Alejandro Anreus for a very special archives tour of the Homar posters in our collection that are not in the show. This event will take place in the museum’s Rene Wanner Research Library and space is very limited\, so be sure to reserve your ticket early. A not-to-be-missed chance to see Homar’s posters up close and personal with an expert in the field!  \nFor the protection of the posters\, no food or beverages\, including water\, will be allowed in the space. All bags\, including backpacks\, purses\, umbrellas\, etc\, must be left either in the coat check area by the Info Desk or in the lockers outside the Library.  \nAccessibility Note: Masks and clear masks are available free of charge at the museum.
