DESCRIPTION:Poster House members at the Patron level and above are invited to a private\, virtual preview of our upcoming spring exhibitions before they are announced to the general public. Join curators Es-pranza Humphrey and Ian Bradley-Perrin as they provide personal insights on selected posters and themes from their shows.  \nEs-pranza will be sharing her research on race relations during the early 20th century and spotlight the names of those who contributed to the long legacy of Black talent that was fostered and celebrated over time. Ian will be discussing the powerful story of New Yorkers who harnessed grief\, anger\, resistance\, and joy during the first two decades of the AIDS epidemic with a particular focus on the role and use of posters as a medium for education\, mobilization\, fundraising\, and community building. Members are encouraged to ask questions and participate in this special sneak-peek presentation. \nAccessibility Note: This online event will be hosted on Zoom with attendees’ cameras off. A recording of this event will be made available to all registered attendees. Automated closed captioning will be provided.
