SUMMARY:West Side Fest: Sticker Printing Drop-In Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Stop by the Poster History Timeline for a sticker-printing demonstration with artist Mikey Quackenboss! Try your hand at linoleum-block printing and make stickers inspired by West Side Fest and the museum’s current exhibitions.  \nMikey Quackenboss is a self-taught printmaker and classically trained tattoo artist working in Brooklyn. First inspired by the art of the DIY bike-punk scene\, Mikey’s current work uniquely ties printmaking to traditional American tattoo-shop culture through hand-carved linoleum stamps that are directly applied to the skin through the stencil process. \nAccessibility Note: Masks and clear masks are available free of charge at the museum. Assistive listening devices and stools are available. ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation or a CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) is also available upon request. Please contact access@posterhouse.org or (914) 295-2387 to request interpretation services and to address any other accessibility needs.
