DESCRIPTION:The Interborough Rapid Transit Company (IRT) opened New York City’s original underground subway line in October 1904. In order to entice people to regularly use the subway\, the IRT printed two in-car poster campaigns\, one of which was The Subway Sun. These posters depicted various landmarks across the city to encourage travel to different neighborhoods. \nDo you have a favorite spot in New York City? Is there a hidden gem you would like to share?
