DESCRIPTION:Female Trailblazers: A Special Members-Only Series \nIn honor of the exhibition Utopia in Our Time: The Posters of Molly Crabapple\, now on view at Poster House\, members are invited to explore the creative work of female trailblazers both past and present.  \nThe next stop is Columbia University’s Wallach Art Gallery for a guided tour of Lotty Rosenfeld: Disobedient Spaces.   \nChilean artist Lotty Rosenfeld (Santiago\, 1943–2020\, Santiago) celebrated the imagination as the antidote to systems of control\, whether patriarchal\, dictatorial\, capitalistic\, or colonial. Framed through the lens of care\, feminist friendship\, and solidarity across difference\, the exhibition highlights these aspects of her practice as central to her conceptual strategies.  \nThe exhibition\, Rosenfeld’s first retrospective in the United States\, emphasizes her use of an extraordinary range of materials—including rarely seen intaglio prints\, collages based on everyday objects\, book covers\, and screenprints with thread. \nWallach Art Gallery is located at 615 W 129th St\, New York\, NY 10027. \nAccessibility Note: As this is an off-site event\, masks and clear masks are available free of charge with prior notification.
