Join us for a night of amazing jazz at Poster House! Josh Lawrence is a Grammy-nominated trumpeter and composer, and has been dubbed along with his bandmates as “an all-star outfit” by The New York Times. A “preeminent voice among young composers,” Lawrence has received awards from Chamber Music America, the American Composers Forum, the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage, and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
Bandmates include Caleb Curtis (alto sax), Anwar Marshall (drums), Zaccai Curtis (piano), and Luques Curtis (bass). The quintet’s three albums Color Theory, Contrast, and Triptych are all available on Posi-Tone Records.
Tonight offers a unique opportunity to view Poster House’s current exhibitions while enjoying the live show, especially The Swiss Grid, which features several posters for Swiss jazz festivals. Come early and explore the museum during happy hour!
