Here’s a Look At All of Poster House’s Free Offerings

Poster House is determined to ensure the museum’s excellent art and design content is accessible and available to all. To support that mission, the museum offers numerous ways to attend at a discounted rate or for free. See our list of 2023 opportunities below!
- Free admission every Friday, with extended hours until 9pm
- Free admission on Juneteenth (June 19) when this holiday falls during our regular operating hours
- Free admission on Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day
- Discounted admission for students and educators (with ID), seniors, veterans, and visitors with disabilities
- Free admission for one accompanying care partner for any disabled visitor
- Reduced admission for out-of-state museum employees and docents
- Free admission for in-state museum employees and docents
- All Poster House Members are allowed to bring at least one guest to the museum, dependent on Membership level
- Free admission to our Block Party
- Free programming, admission, and extended hours during the monthly First Fridays program
- Free all-day admission with the purchase of a private adult or school tour
- American Alliance of Museums cardholding members receive free entry with one guest
- Free entry for active-duty military, National Guard, and Reserve personnel with up to five family members during annual Blue Star campaigns
- Poster House is a member of the Cool Culture Pass, allowing free entry for up to five people per reservation
- Free walk-in entry for guests with Culture Pass reservations. Up to four people are allowed with each booking
- Free entry for CUNY students with ID
- Museums Council of New York City Members receive free entry for one with one guest
- Free entry for SNAP or EBT recipients (with card) for up to four people
- ROAM members receive free entry for one with guest
- Corporate Members receive free entry for their employees, as well as guest passes depending on Membership level
