Grolier Club Online Lecture with Nicholas Lowry and Angelina Lippert

Monday, Mar 15, 2021
6–7:30pm

Expand your literary poster horizons on a wild ride through advertising history, with poster experts Nicholas Lowry from Swann Galleries and Angelina Lippert, chief curator at New York’s Poster House, opened in 2019 as the nation’s first museum devoted to the poster. They will explore how books have been advertised in posters since the late 1800s. The dazzling compositions promoted literacy as well as little-known literary gems.

This will be a live online event, via Zoom, and attendees will receive an email with the Zoom link prior to the event. For those unable to join us for the session, the lecture will be recorded and made available a few weeks after the event on the Grolier Club’s Vimeo page.
