Members-Only Tour: Kyohei Inukai

Our friends at Japan Society are inviting Poster House Members to an exclusive, curator-led tour of their exhibition Kyohei Inukai.

Featuring over 100 works from the late 1960s through the 1980s, Kyohei Inukai marks the most extensive exhibition to date by the largely unknown, yet prolific, Japanese-American artist Kyohei Inukai (1913–85). With nearly all the works on view to the public for the first time, this rare presentation offers an unparalleled window into Inukai’s exploratory approach to material, line, and space—as seen through his abstract oil paintings, playful screenprints and brooding sumi-e (ink paintings).
