Members-Only Tour: Sherman Creek Park

Poster House invites you to come out and enjoy the fall weather on a guided tour of New York Restoration Project’s Sherman Creek Park, located in Inwood, Manhattan. Explore the natural resources and beauty of one of New York City’s most unique green spaces, including a look at a community vegetable garden and an oyster reef along the Harlem River. Sherman Creek Park, a former illegal dumping site, began as a shore cleanup and now encompasses 15 beautifully reclaimed acres along the Harlem River including Swindler Cove, Riley-Levin Children’s Garden, and a living shoreline installation.

This tour will be held at New York Restoration Project’s Sherman Creek Park. Detailed arrival instructions are below: 

  • If arriving by carshare or taxi, you may be dropped off at 3703 10th Avenue, directly in front of PS-5 Elementary School.
  • If you are driving, street parking is available on Marginal Way, next to PS-5 Elementary School.
  • If arriving by subway, you can reach Sherman Creek Park by taking the 1 train to the Dyckman Street Station, and then following Dyckman Street one block east to 10th Avenue.
